Oil on gardening weed barrier fabric
Dimensions

Frame
Unframed; raw gardening weed barrier fabric remains visible on the reverse and is integral to the artwork
Created as part of the ongoing Holiday Me / PAYASOY self-portrait series.
A geometric figure occupies a field divided between black and white. Above it, tightly winding lines create a maze-like atmosphere. Below, the body becomes a vessel composed of blue, red, orange, green and black.
The face is reduced to an arrangement of signs. A central white point anchors the figure beneath a red hourglass form, while a smaller green presence appears to smile from within the larger body.
Portrait, costume, container and emblem become inseparable.
The self is no longer confined to the face. It is distributed across patterns, compartments, symbols and internal presences—as though one portrait could carry several beings at once.
