The face combines directness with disguise. Its blue-green eyes confront the viewer, while the shifting forms above the forehead resemble hair, headwear, animal presences or fragments of thought.
Color does more than describe the figure. It breaks the self apart and reconstructs it as a performer: ceremonial, humorous, guarded and intensely present.
