Golden Night 2 continues the opening into color begun in Golden Night 1. A blue dog/wolf stands at the center of the painting, surrounded by trees, faces, birds, plants and smaller forms.
Like Golden Night 1, the painting grew from the final movement of Jack London's The Call of the Wild. Here the release of the animal into the night forest becomes a release into color.
The painting also marks a change in process, using the technique later carried into Rite of Spring. The painted frame is an integral part of the work.
First shown in Water to Live at The Art of Words Community School (TAWCS), Brooklyn.
Created at Artist Studio, Brooklyn, NY
Exhibited in Water to Live, TAWCS, Brooklyn
